Are you a veterinary medicine student looking to gain new experience working with wildlife?

Come and join the LCTW team as a Veterinary Extern, honing and sharing your skills in our wildlife hospital! As you shadow our wildlife veterinarians you’ll get to assist them in a variety of procedures across a huge range of wildlife, including many unique and endemic animals native to Laos.

This programme is also available as an internship.

What’s the day like?

Be prepared to be kept on your toes, as no day is ever the same for our vet team. At any time, we could receive a rescued animal or a huge confiscation of wildlife in need of urgent care, or have an animal which needs critical veterinary attention in our centre. On crucial days like these, your help and support to our vet team will prove invaluable to getting the job done.

We also encourage vet student volunteers to conduct their own independently-driven research projects during their time here.

If this exciting environment sounds like the place for you, apply today to secure your spot!
